The farmhouse, called Kácsor Tanya, was built in the first half of the 20th century during the time of the Research Institute for Viticulture and Oneology, but later it s ownership was transfered to the Állami Gazdaság of Lakitelek.
At that time it was used as a residence for employees, and its namesake was László Kácsor, the former editor-in-chief of the Anthology Publisher and Print and former director of the Népfőiskola Foundation.
The renovated and modernised building currently houses two exhibitions.
The Botz Room is an exhibition space for the archaeological finds of the Felsőalpár, where the history of Lakitelek and the Népfőiskola, as well as the history of the Lakitelek tent, are presented.
The Pálinka Zug is intended to show the production of the fruit spirit that has become a Hungaricum, i.e. pálinka, from the methods of the old days to the modern technology of today.
Besides the classical exhibited objects, visitors will also find interactive interfaces.
